Our Environment
We provide a safe, small-scale, and structured setting where learners feel respected, supported, and inspired. With low staff-to-student ratios, dedicated learning spaces, and a focus on positive relationships, we offer the stability and individual attention young people need to succeed.
Working Together
We believe in strong partnerships with referring schools, parents/carers, and external agencies. Regular communication, progress reports, review meetings, and reintegration planning ensure that every learner’s journey is supported from start to finish.

We provide First Aid, Health and Safety and Food and Hygiene qualifications. We have a fully sized sport field for recreational sport use.
We provide a flexible approach that allows academies and students breathing space at short notice. This includes step out/respite and long er or short term options. We utilise a successful gradual reintegration strategy to allow students to re-adjust and settle back into mainstream school.
Students initial levels of achievement are assessed as part of our induction process, specifically reading, spelling and basic numeracy which supports the relevant information provided by schools.
An Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is then agreed between each student, the centre and school to support the individual student’s needs.
We support our students in a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, History and GCSE PE Health and Social Care level 1 and 2. Exam work can be prepared and delivered in collaboration with the host school. Our previous success has been based on working closely with schools, to provide and find options to suit each student's individual needs. Live marking takes place in every lesson to ensure each student understands the lesson content and that quality of work is being monitored.
Entry level qualifications in Maths and English, E.C.D.L. can be accessed at the centre. Each Academy receives progress and achievement reports on a regular basis.
behavioural intervention
At Action2Change, our GCSE intervention programme goes beyond academic support by addressing behavioural challenges that may affect a student’s progress. We offer structured behavioural interventions that include impactful prison videos and real-life talks. These sessions are designed to act as a powerful deterrent, helping students understand the real-life consequences of poor choices and encouraging them to reflect on their behaviour, attitude, and future.
By creating space for honest conversations and emotional responses, these interventions help students reframe their mindset and take responsibility for their actions. Combined with ongoing support and mentoring, the behavioural strand of our intervention programme plays a vital role in improving focus, attendance, and engagement—ultimately helping students stay on track to achieve their goals.
Mentoring/Guidance Programme
This is a specially designed programme to help and support those on the verge of exclusion and will be suited to those in pupil referral units. The students will be mentored with life skills. This will be completed one day a week and practical activities will be completed.

We also use a psychological approach with our on site educational psychologist, this is educational based giving the students an insight in how the mind works and how to control negative actions.
All staff and tutors have vast experience and are fully trained in working alongside students with behavioural, emotional. Learning and social difficulties.
